A US General has said that Ukraine only has “30 to 45 days of fighting weather left” before the temperature rapidly drops which will make fighting conditions harder.

General Mark Milley said that Ukraine has achieved “partial success” before the cold weather kicks in and the rain turns the ground into mud making manoeuvres much more difficult.

He said that Ukraine is “progressing at a very steady pace through the Russian front lines” however, it is far “too early” to know if their counteroffensive has failed.

General Milley told the BBC’s Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg there is “30 to 45 days worth of fighting weather left, so the Ukrainians aren’t done.
