A Russian expert has warned that there is a “real possibility” that “civil war in Russia” could now happen following the Kremlin’s assassination of Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin.

Vladimir Putin is facing a “real” nightmare that there is a “possibility” we could now see the “break up of Russia” as there are many people who are turning their backs on the Kremlin’s regime and two rebel groups are calling for the “elimination of Putin.”

This serious warning comes after Russia’s Investigative Committee issued a statement to say that all ten bodies from the crash site has now been recovered and their identities “confirm to the manifest,” including Prigozhins.

Political commentator Fraser Myers told GB News: “The break-up of Russia, civil war in Russia, is a very real possibility.

“It’s not just that you have mercenaries like the Wagner Group. There are all kinds of private armies operating in Russia.

“I was even reading how the Defence Minister is starting his own army, and you think about how Putin has been using Chechen forces.

“There’s lots of warlords about. This is a very scary situation.”

Jailed opposition leader Alexei Navalny has warned the assassination of Prigozhin could now see Russia enter into a “civil war,” and labelled the plane crash as “a real terrorist act.”

Navalny added, “It is precisely from these ingredients that the dish called ‘civil war’ is made.”

The British Ministry of Defence (MoD) has said that Prigozhin’s alleged death has now left a “leadership vacuum” in Russia.

The MoD added in their intelligence briefing, “The demise of Prigozhin almost certainly would have a deeply destabilising effect on the Wagner Group.

“His personal attributes of hyperactivity, exceptional audacity, a drive for results, and extreme brutality permeated Wagner and are unlikely to be matched by any successor.”

Wagner Group fighters might want to ensure “the Kremlin” does not get away with killing their chief Prigozhin.

On Saturday Putin signed and executive order demanding that the Wagner mercenaries make an oath of allegiance to the Russian Federation and fight for Moscow.

However, many battle-hardened Wagner mercenaries will not join Russia’s military and some have issued a threat to Putin for killing their boss.

Wagnerites based in Belarus who will now no longer be paid have issued a statement which is thought to be directed at Moscow.

The Wagner mercenaries said in a video, “There’s a lot of talk right now about what the Wagner Group will do. We can tell you one thing. We are getting started, get ready for us.”

A defence industry analyst and former British officer Nichoas Drummond has warned that Putin is fuelling the potential for a “civil war” in Russia.

Drummond said, “In resorting to fratricide to retain his grip on power, Putin is sowing the seeds of his own downfall, fuelling the collapse of Russia, potentially leading to civil war, and perhaps even the fragmentation of Russia.”

“Few people will mourn the death of Yevgeny Prigozhin, but his blatant, premeditated murder should remind us all of exactly what Vladimir Putin is: a ruthless, imperialist, ex-KGB thug,” he added.
